What is Search Engine Optimization?
SEO is the process of optimizing your website to drive free, organic traffic from Google, Bing, and even de facto search engines like Amazon and YouTube. SEO differs from SEM in that you aren’t directly paying Google to show your website in their results. Rather, SEO efforts are centered around crafting content that is easy to understand, well structure, and relevant to search users.
We focus on these three proven SEO strategies:
- On-page SEO: optimizing your site for target keywords.
- Off-page SEO: getting other websites to link to your site.
- Technical SEO: the under-the-hood stuff such as load time and mobile UX.
Why Gator SEM?
We quickly adapt to the latest “ranking factors” coming from Google, bringing decades of SEO experience to bear. Recently, Google announced that user experience, or UX–how easy it is to use your site–is going to be an even more important ranking factor in the future. At Gator SEM we’ve said for a while that UX is the new SEO. All of the content we create is made with UX top of mind.
The user’s search intent is another factor we optimize for. We get behind the why of searches, learning as much as we can about the customer’s context in order to effectively tailor content to them at that moment.
Our approach to SEO is future-proof. We’re not into the get-ranked-quick schemes that just hurt you later when Google updates its algorithm. A successful SEO campaign can take months to bear fruit, depending on your industry and the competitiveness of the keywords for which your business seeks to rank. Strategic planning, persistence, and patience are the keys to seeing an increase in organic traffic from Google and other search engines.
Search Engine Optimization Services
We learn what keywords your customers are actually using when they search for you, and focus our efforts on ranking for the ones that are likely to send the most targeted traffic your way.
Off-page SEO
If you’re prepared to spend resources on producing content, you should also be prepared to commit at least as much time to promoting and generating links to your content.
This is the heart and soul of local SEO, and if you’re not building out local citations for your local business, you’re at a disadvantage.
Blogging Services
Fresh in-depth content is a great signal to Google that you’re an authority on a subject. We help deliver that content so you can focus on running your business.
Video Blogs
YouTube is a huge search engine that people aren’t utilizing enough. Converting your written content into video is something we do to help you rank better.
Technical SEO
We can assist in identifying key under-the-hood issues that could be hurting your search ranking, like mobile friendliness, page load speed, and more.
